The Dos.
1. CHECKING THE INLET AND OUTLET AIR PASSAGE OF YOUR PC.
This is
necessary if you use your PC in a dusty place often. The air outlet by the side
of the PC is usually fitted with an air filter usually made from wool or any of
such materials and as time goes by, dirt usually accumulate there which can
cause bad air flow in and around your PC and lead to your PC heating up, so it is
advise that from time to time you look into this passage way to make sure that
it is not blocked, so that if it is seriously block you can take it to a
computer technician to clean it out and make it brand new again. Also dirt can
pass through the bottom air passage into your PC and fill up the inner space of
your PC causing the same problem, so if you notice unwanted dirt particles
falling out from your PC you should also take it to a computer technician.
2. DON’T LEAVE YOUR PC PLUG IN.
This is to
avoid burning your PC fuse or charger. Whenever you are using your PC when it
is plugged in and the power goes out don’t be too lazy to put off the socket switch
or cut off the power from the laptop charger at least. Most times when the
power comes back on the initial voltage is usually higher than the required voltage
of the charger and the voltage might be out of safe working range for the
charger and cause the charger to burn or in rare but serious cases burn a fuse
in the mother board of the PC. So when you are leaving your PC to do other
things remember to turn-off the power inlet unless your charger is connected to
a VR – voltage regulator – but if not try to save yourself the regret by not
being too lazy to help your PC.
3. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION ON THE MANUAL.
This is the
laziest instruction giving to the general public, because only about 10% of
electronics device users usually ends up reading the device instruction manual,
each individual device usually comes with a manual design specifically for it,
so going through it is a very good and advisable thing to do because in it contains
some details on personal maintenance in taking care of the PC so it is better
that you know the specific details in taking care of your PC than asking others
about theirs and applying it to yours. The manual also contains details on apps
and settings in the PC that might not be in the older version or in a different
version so reading the manual is a very good thing to do. So in order to be more
acquainted with the PC and to draw out maximum use form it and also to be very
efficient with the way to take care of it, reading the manual is the most
advisable way that can be given to anybody to carry it out.
4. DON’T USE ANYTHING NOT MADE FOR YOUR PC
This is to
those that usually improvise when they are trying to buy or use accessories for
their PC, when you are trying to use some deice for our PC we should try and
look out for the device rated ratings so that we would not use device that can
cause harm to our PC there are some device that are rated for desktop and PCs and
each type of PC has their own rated device ratings.
Somethings
that we should check out for include: the voltage rating, the current rating,
the PC type, the power rating the connection type. Applying this can be seen
when we chose the PC charger – maybe when getting a new one – or making other
such kind of selection.
Other things
that should be checked out for include; your Pc battery rating, and very much
also the output device rating that are connected to the USB ports so as not to
overload the PC and eventually led to the PC breakdown.
5. ALWAYS DO THE NECESSARY
Whenever we
are using our PC we should always struggle to do whatever is necessary to
ensure that we take care of our PC even though it might cost us time and also
money, if we love our PC then we will try to protect it at all cost.
Some of these
actions include, charging our pc when the battery is low and not using the
battery till it is too low so as to safe guard the battery life, always use the
PC rated charger in charging the systems, always take the Pc to a technician
when you discover problems – don’t allow the problems to accumulate and thus
leading to more problems – and many other necessary thing to do.
Like I said
before all PC are unique and have their own respective “way of life” so get acquainted
with your PC and provide the best help that you can offer to your PC
These are simple
yet somewhat long piece of information that is geared to users of PCs for them
to show some love for what they use and to be generally inclined towards
promoting a more global E-world especially here in Nigeria. So we should all know
that responsibility comes with power and when we have that power right there in
our PC we have the responsibility to take good care of it.
